When does the Rumble update drop?

A question we heard a lot these past few hours. To make an end to the mother of all questions. Here’s what Corey had to say.

UPD 23:15

UPD 18:59

Update not out yet!

Which means that the update will drop somewhere between midnight and 1 or 2 AM in Europe. Take the advice from Corey and don’t wait up.

Also a statement from Psyonix on the /r/Rocketleague subreddit

And oh, on a sidenote:

Custom Team Names, Colors for Private Matches!

teamcolors1-1650x880

The Rumble update is taking form with the latest addition to the pack. In the future update you will be able to make custom team names and design your own custom crew color.

The name of your team will be displayed on the scoring board and will be displayed when a goal is made! How cool is that!

As mentioned these options are only in private match. So you will not be able to have your own custom team name and color in a regular ranked match.

Other features that are coming in the Rumble update  New Rocket Labs map, New Rumble Mode

New painted items in September update!

The September/Rumble update is getting closer and closer. A good team to unveil yet another feature from the update.

The following items will have new color variants and are a great way make you stand out of the crowd when you are playing Rocket League

  • Chef Hat
  • Ivy Cap
  • Pork Pie
  • Trucker Hat
  • Unicorn Horn
  • Visor
  • Wildcat Ears

The colors will be randomly dropped. So if you have more variants of one topper. Not a problem. Just trade them in!

Rocket League announces Rumble Mode!

rumble-magnet-1650x880

Rocket League just revealed their new update coming in September called Rumble Mode. By the looks of things the update will focus on the laid back and fun side of Rocket League. An update very similar to the Hoops update that dropped earlier this year.

With so called new power-ups the whole mechanic of a normal Rocket League game will be changed forever. Just like Rocket Labs and Hoops mode this mode will be a playlist of it’s own. So you won’t find this in a Ranked match.

For a full rundown on what’s to come visit the official Rocket League website, and if you have not seen the new trailer. Check the video below!

Rocket League’s next update announcement coming soon?

maxresdefault

Big things are on the horizon for Rocket League, yet again. The team is not sitting still this year. Not when you have released the Hoops update, the Collectors Edition and are about to make cross-play between XBOX One and Playstation happen.

IGN has spoken with Jeremy Dunham and he confirms that there is a big announcement coming round the 6th/7th of August. The update will bring content to the game that will make most of the players go wild. So we can only assume that they have been monitoring their suggestion forum and of course the Rocket League subreddit.

Our eyes and ears are pealed for this one!

The NEOTokyo map is in essence a re-styled Underpass map (the one in the Rocket Labs playlist) with some new slick touched to the stadium. But the re-designed map isnt the only thing that is coming. With the introduction of the NEOTokyo map, 2 new Battle-Cars will make their way into the game:

two Neo Tokyo-inspired premium cars — Esper and Masamune — bring their distinctive anime style to Rocket League®’s ever-growing collection of playable vehicles! – Rocket League Youtube

Those who buy the physical Collectors-Edition will get to play with these new cars before the PS+ gamers ( Steam, One included). And there is a trailer too!

June (4): Trade-in system!

rare-items_blog-1650x880

June is looking to become the month where Rocket League changes it all. New features that were requested by the community are being implemented in this June update. And that excites us!

In the update you will be able to trade in your more uncommon  and rare items for a high-quality one. You can trade in 5 more uncommon items at a time to receive one high-quality on.

You can find these items in your Inventory menu. Also Rocket League explained that a player-to-player trading type of thing is in the works!

NOTE: In the interest of full disclosure, we plan to implement Player-to-Player Trading in a later update. Some items, like those with “Painted” or “Certified” attributes, may become much more valuable if you can trade them to other players.  The “Trade-In System” is designed to let you get rid of unwanted or duplicate items, but you should consider carefully what you trade now versus what you might want to keep for future player-trading opportunities.

For the full blogpost about what’s coming in the June update next to the trade-in system we refer you to the RocketLeagueGame website
