Marky and Kuxir will be looking out for a new third, or already have one? We will soon know. Flipside thanks Greazymeister for his sportsmanship within the team. Read an excerpt below:
Greazymeister was a valuable player to the Rocket League team. He scored 29 goals in 35 games during the Rocket League Championship Series Season 2 Group Stage Qualifiers and had three assists in three different games. He will always be a member of the FlipSid3 Tactics family and we will miss him dearly. We wish him nothing but the best in whatever the future has in store for him. – Statement Flipside
Cownose and Dan are parting on good terms. The synergy they had in the first week of RLCS simply wasn’t there anymore. On to new adventures!
It’s with a heavy heart I announce that Dan will be leaving our team. He came with the proposal himself and we will be splitting up on good terms. Reason for this twitlonger is because I want to thank him for being such a great guy and player over the last couple weeks. I don’t think anyone would have expected to see us in League Play, but we made it anyways and we have each other to thank for such a great accomplishment. Last two weeks however the synergy wasn’t really there anymore and the good vibe we had at the start of RLCS blew over.
Nonetheless I wish to thank him and wish him all the best in the future, don’t stop streaming and certainly don’t stop playing Rocket League.
Not kept promises and lack of communication between the org and the players led to the comeback of Cow Nose. What a time to be alive!
Niels Koek, the captain of Cownose (former Xedec), responded on Twitter on the matter. So did the org. Statements can be read down below:
We as a team have decided to part ways with Xedec Nation. This is because of a couple reasons. There are two main reasons behind this decision. One is the lack of communications between the owner of the organization and us the players. And second is the lack of agreement about our contracts on both sides.
I myself was confident that the problem would be resolved within reasonable time, but unfortunately it did not come to that. Therefore we decided to end our contracts completely and go on without Xedec Nation.
As many of you know, Xedec Nation (XN) rocket league parted ways from the actual @ organisation and this comes down to essentially two core reasons, which Nielkskoek already highlighted however not thoroughly, which is what I will do now because I think the rocket league community and XN fans deserve to know what is happening and I don’t want to deprive you of that right.
On February 21st, I announced the Rocket League line-up for Xedec Nation, which received massive support and I think restored a bit of faith in the organisation from their previous decision on a roster, and all was well and dandy. The boys had full faith in me that this would come through, and honestly, I had full faith that it would as well – however this is where it gets rather annoying.
Damian, or the CEO of Xedec Nation LLC, gave the green light – along with his business partner, to acquire a top tier Rocket League team and he would give them salaries as well as implement a bonus reward system for their placements and achievements within the professional scene. It was my job to manage this team, promote them on twitter and essentially ensure that everything was running smoothly and we were getting their name out there. There were times where I would message Damian at the start and get a response perhaps a day or two later, however as time moved on and as we got into March, myself along with his business partner Will and essentially the entire organisation was being left in the dark by Damian.
Unresponsive, non-verbal and essentially little to know management or leadership from the own CEO caused myself as well as the Rocket League team to feel rather uncomfortable about the signing of this team. The players had signed their end of the contracts and it was just resting on Damian to complete the forms and send them back, not so hard right? Well essentially he delayed and delayed and delayed and even now, after the due date for the first payment of the player salaries, he is unresponsive to me and probably has no idea that this rocket league line up has even parted ways with his organisation.
Zentox made it into League Play with a non-EU player in it’s team. That’s not how it works. @RLCS disqualified the team for this reason.
Red Eye, Leaf eSports, Copenhagen Flames and Penta now have a change to make League Play. To get there they will have to play a Tiebreaker Playoff.
All former players made it into a new team to go into Open Qualifiers. No talented was wasted here!
Danzhizzle, Gerry ‘Face’ Goorlap and Reepex all joined teams that are trying to make into LAN. And the teams they have joined/formed are not just your average teams. Oh no.
Danzhizzle will play with fellow Dutchies Niels Koek, Rix Ronday. Zenzus will be the non-Dutch player in XedecNation.
Then we have Face a.k.a Gerry Goorlap who almost not made into RLCS. But with a lot of talking and perseverance he got the ‘OK’ and will play along side Spoonie, KarottenPower and ItsPureLogic.
Finally Reepex got himself a nice gig as a sub for most likely the most awesome team name that has entered the RLCS S3: Table Cloth. Alongside iconic Rocket League players like Doomsee, Bluey and Sebadam they will most likely aim to make it far into the tournament. SHF may be dead. But the dream these guys had is very much alive.
The last day for players to register for the RLCS S3. Who will make the cut, and who will be left out?
We will update this thread regularly so feel free to come back from time to time. Previous edition: Roster Mania #2
